Negrin’s second production of Mitridate was conceived from scratch, unlike the previous one’s many adaptations to various venues. This show introduced a number of new, modern sets to the collection of original pieces usually used in this magical, authentic baroque theatre museum. The production was a hit, proving once again that this early Mozart masterpiece is worthy of the main repertoire. Mitridate is the opera Negrin has restaged most times in his career.
