51st Union Day of the UAE

After two years of monumental interventions in nature, this year’s celebration involved the creation of a tunnel-like venue in the centre of Abu Dhabi. Covid had forced the previous two shows to be with small casts and for a small audience, so this was the return to large casts, more audience an to the city centre, which gave the show a real sense of celebration for an by the people of the UAE. The show was a virtuosic and innovative continuous parade of floats set to music and synchronised with video. The parade was brilliantly choreographed by Bryn Walters and Gavin Robins.
