Francisco directed this production in Valencia in 2010, with a concept that showed the dangers of abuse of power and spiritual emptiness well before the Trump/Kardashian style imagery it uses really existed. When revived nearly a decade later in Bilbao in 2018 it suddenly felt incredibly current. A further revival in Houston was postponed to a future season due to the COVID-19 crisis.
